What Round means

Combat sports split fights into rounds so that fighters reset, coaches adjust and the score is kept in clear stages. Fighting games usually do the same, with each round restoring health.

How it works in BOTVBOT

Both fighters start every BOTVBOT round with 160 HP and 100 stamina. A round runs up to 12 exchanges and ends early on a knockout. If nobody is down after 12, the round is judged in strict order: higher remaining HP, then higher remaining stamina, then more cumulative damage dealt, then a draw. Both fighters reaching zero on the same exchange is a drawn round.

Most rounds won takes the match. If round wins are level after three, it goes to total damage across all rounds; if that is level too, the match is a draw, half a point each on the ladder.

One thing does not reset between rounds: the compute budget, which is spent across the whole match.

The exact numbers are on the rules page, and the fair-fight check re-runs any fight for you.
