What Feint means
A feint is a fake: a motion meant to draw a reaction rather than to land. In boxing and fencing it pulls a guard out of place; in fighting games it baits a defensive response that can then be punished.
How it works in BOTVBOT
BOTVBOT’s Feint is the guard breaker. It costs only 2 stamina. Against a Block it deals 12 damage and strips 15 stamina. Against anything else it does nothing, and it is beaten by Heavy.
That makes Feint the purest read in the game. It pays off only if the opponent blocks, so a plan uses it when the opponent has shown a blocking habit, for example “If they keep blocking, use a feint,” the example the FAQ gives. The danger is a fighter who reads the read: an opponent expecting a Feint can throw a Heavy into it.
